picture-5Like most of you, we have set up Google and Yahoo alerts to track mentions on Facebook, Twitter, blogs, microblogs, news outlets, etc. However, like many of us, we are probably not tracking every single mention out there. Here is where these social-media search sites come to the rescue. We have been using Social Mention with great success. Social Mention describes itself as a “social media search and analysis platform that aggregates user generated content from across the universe into a single stream of information. It allows you to easily track and measure what people are saying about you, your company, a new product, or any topic across the web’s social media landscape in real-time.” One nifty tool it offers is a basic sentiment analysis capability… it can be a real eye-opener, although we are not sure exactly HOW accurate it is… Other sites to try out are: Who’s Talking and Addict-O-Matic. However, our clear favorite remains- Social Mention.
